Decenas de miles de mujeres, niños, jóvenes y adultos, se dieron cita este jueves en la plaza 24 de septiembre de esta ciudad, para pedir a las autoridades autonomía o independencia.La marcha, prevista inicialmente sólo para jóvenes, estudiantes de diversas universidades, terminó siendo una gran concentración en la que se dieron cita gremiales, campesinos, estudiantes, profesionales y diversos sectores sociales para apoyar la demanda por los dos tercios.
Este imponente marco humano, cercó prácticamente a los más de 300 huelguistas que se encuentran en la plaza en masiva concentración.
En la oportunidad, se dieron encendidos discursos en contra del gobierno, pero, principalmente, todos coincidieron en que era hora de tomar acciones más drásticas que una siemple demanda o una huelga de hambre, por más que está sea masiva.
"Queremos autonomía, ya. Si no se cumple esta demanda, es hora de hablar de independencia", decían los discursos.
El prefecto, Rubén Costas, preguntó, ¿qiuieren tercer cabildo?... manifiéstenlo. Quieren autonomía?.. manifiéstenlo. Quieren otras acciones?.. mañana será la oportunidad para reclamar, dijo. Así confirmó una nueva concentración para este viernes a partir de la cinco, en la que se preguntará al pueblo si es que quiere la convocatoria a un nuevo cabildo en que se demande autonomía.
El presidente del Comité pro Santa Cruz, Germán Antelo, reflexionó sobre el peligro en que se encuentra la democracia, en la urgente necesidad de que se apliquen las autonomías y en la obligatoriedad de que se cumpla la Ley.
"Dentro de los marcos legales hemos pedido una respuesta al gobierno, pero no hemos sido atendidos. Por eso, mañana se decide que es lo que haremos", dijo Antelo.
Al momento, 390 personas cumplen una huelga de hambre en diversos piquetes conformados por diversas instituciones y organizaciones sociales. La medida no será levantada hasta que haya una verdadera respuesta del gobierno.
